Seasoned Destiny 2 players know that every Friday they can count on the elusive merchant Xur to make an appearance with special exotic items, but what’s not so clear is where you’ll be able to find him. Below, you’ll find a map with a marker that indicates where Xur is and his list of wares.
If you’re new to Destiny 2 and need a bit more information about how this works, you’ll need to know that Xur is a special vendor who sells exotic weapons and armor. Each week, he comes to the solar system with a slate of goods, including an exotic weapon and one piece of exotic armor for each character class. Lately, he’s also been carrying Fated Engrams, which guarantee players an exotic drop they don’t already have, from the collection of exotics from before the release of Forsaken. As of March 12, 2019, he also sells gear exclusive to Forsaken.
The trouble with Xur is finding him. We always know when Xur will show up — at the daily reset on Friday, so 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern. The question is where Xur is. While previously in Destiny 2, Xur’s location was marked on the map each weekend, he’s now unmarked and thus tougher to find each weekend. Here’s where you need to go to track down Xur, the Agent of the Nine, and everything you need to know about what he’s offering this week.
Where is Xur and his wares for the week
(May 17 – May 21)
You can find Xur on Titan this week. It’s one of the more confusing spots for him, but spawn onto The Rig landing point and then turn left-center. From here, keep walking or use your Sparrow until you reach a slightly lower area. In the front-left corner is a small rectangular building, and Xur is in the back of it.
Here is the exact location:
And here’s what Xur has for wares:
D.A.R.C.I. – 29 Legendary Shards: All players can grab the sniper rifle D.A.R.C.I. from Xur this week. The weapon offers increased range and magazine size, as well as increased handling speed. It also offers a “Personal Assistant” ability that offers information on enemies when looking through the scope, and this allows you to deal more damage and acquire targets more quickly.
(Titans) Ursa Furiosa – 23 Legendary Shards: The Ursa Furiosa gauntlets are available to Titans this week. The gauntlets offer increased resilience and health recovery, as well as better chance of finding special ammunition after each kill. They also increased your grenade throwing distance, and you will move faster while your Sentinel Shield is out — it will also convert damage to super energy.
(Warlocks) Geomag Stabilizers – 23 Legendary Shards: Warlocks get the Geomag Stabilizers leg armor this week, which is exclusive to the Forsaken expansion. The armor offers increased mobility and resilience, as well as increased chance of finding primary ammunition after a kill. It also increased your mobility and shrinks your turn radius, and offers higher Chaos Reach super energy when sprinting.
(Hunters) Celestial Nighthawk – 23 Legendary Shards: Hunters can get the Celestial Nighthawk helmet from Xur this week. The helmet offers increased resilience and health recovery, as well as increased chance of finding special ammunition after a kill. It also improves aiming speed, target acquisition, and accuracy with pulse rifles, and it modifies the Golden Gun super ability to fire one extremely powerful shot that grants more super energy when it connects.
Isochronal Engram — 97 Legendary Shards: You can only buy one of these Engrams per week, per account, but if you’re filling out your exotic collection, it’s worth it. The Fated Engram automatically gives you something you’re missing from the Destiny 2 Year 1 exotic set, and now Forsaken as well.
The World — 9 Legendary Shards: Lastly, Xur is offering The World challenge this week. The challenge requires the annual pass and asks you to complete a strike and collect different types of resources.
